SPARK: The Early Years

Supporting Practice, Advocacy, Research, and Knowledge: The Early Years was a two-day graduate student-run conference that brought together more than 140 participants interested in early childhood education and care to contribute to a wider discussion around the challenges, understandings, experiences, and insights in the field of early childhood (birth to 8 years old).

With the theme “Coming together: Celebrating Diversity Around Young Children”, the conference was enriched by the presence of graduate students, early childhood educators, advocates, researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders and professionals who had an open space to share, discuss and build upon, the current challenges, accomplishments, and promising practices in the early years.

The conference consisted of concurrent sessions, workshops, and poster presentations, and had the honour of having Dr. Peter Moss as our invited keynote speaker and opening expert panel presenter.
